Bzzzt

Olivia loves the phone and the remote controls. I wonder why they are so interesting. Regarding the phone, she has learned how to adjust the volume of the ring. At first, I thought it was just by chance that she changed it; but now, I realized that she knows what the symbol looks like and she pushes the toggle upwards to get to the volume and likes to make it as loud as possible. She also does this with the keyboard. However, that is much simpler to figure out. Who knows... but I really think she gets it. Her day care persons tell me all the time about how she is so quick to figure relatively complex things out.

European Championships

Olivia is already for the European Championships this summer! She is cheering for Germany of course... She is already a good walker and can now stand on her own without help for a little bit. Since the mini soccer ball has been in the house she either kicks it or throws it around. Ginger is also enjoying it. Of course, after some one has gone to bed.

Using a Spoon

Most of the food lands somewhere else when Olivia has a spoon in the hand... She can already pick up pieces with her hands and eat them without too much landing on the floor. So, I am thinking soon she will manage the same with a spoon instead. Yesterday, she already managed two little bites on her own before the spoon was lost in the bowl of porridge. After that she had enough and started to try to grab the porridge with her hands. It was funny to see the realization on her face that eating porridge with her hands is not as affective as when I spoon it to her…
